BIBLE REVIVAL!

BIBLE REVIVAL! Mary Ann Wray When I read this passage this morning I couldn't help but think about some of the stuff being taught in certain churches, written in "Christian" books and pumped through Christian TV nowadays. Some of these teachings tickle the ears therefore, people are buying into it even though they are really "out there" in Never Never Land...Some of these teachings sound good and have an 'element' of truth but deviate so far off the centrality of the cross that it's unbeli evable. What is scary is I recently learned that only 19% of Americans (Millenials) polled believe the Bible is true. Even our president thinks it's outdated and antiquated. Therefore, we have no basis to judge sound teachings without the inerrant Word of God. Help us Jesus. Give us a revival of the Bible! "As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that you may command certain people not to teach false doctrin...

APOSTOLIC AUTHORITY, CHURCH DISCIPLINE AND POLITICAL CORRECTNESS

APOSTOLIC AUTHORITY, CHURCH DISCIPLINE AND POLITICAL CORRECTNESS Mary Ann Wray I came across an interesting passage of scripture today that led me to a study on Church Discipline. The Apostle Paul actually 'handed over to Satan' certain men who were blasphemers and had defected from the faith so they would learn not to do so. Paul did this more than once as a form of discipline, not revenge or as a personal vendetta for certain church members who were causing great harm to the furtherance of the gospel (delivering people over to Satan). Another time was noted in 1 Cor 5: 1-5 regarding sexual immorality.  The early Church had a healthy dose of the Fear of the Lord! This was no mamby pamby brand of Christianity. We see Peter operating under this type of authority in Acts 5: 1-10. The bottom line is what Jesus said Himself, "It's better to enter into eternity with loss of a thing that caused you to sin then enter into eternal Hell-fire with your pride 'intac...

THE BATTLE IS THE LORD'S… But we still have to fight! By Mary Ann Wray   “You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.” 2 Chronicles 20: 17  “But David thought to himself, “One of these days I will be destroyed by the hand of Saul. The best thing I can do is to escape to the land of the Philistines. Then Saul will give up searching for me anywhere in Israel, and I will slip out of his hand. “So David and the six hundred men with him left and went over to Achish son of Maok king of Gath. David and his men settled in Gath with Achish. Each man had his family with him, and David had his two wives: Ahinoam of Jezreel and Abigail of Carmel, the widow of Nabal. When Saul was told that David had fled to Gath, he no longer searched for him. Then Davi...

WATCH AND PRAY! Here is a great teaching from a prayer ministry in the Philippines about the eight different   Prayer Watch es. I pray it brings great insight into your prayer life! I have included some scriptures prior to the teaching on being a watchman on the wall in prayer! Habakkuk 2: 1-2   I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. Job 1: 10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. Ecclesiastes 10:8          He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bi...
