BIBLE REVIVAL!

BIBLE REVIVAL!
Mary Ann Wray

When I read this passage this morning I couldn't help but think about some of the stuff being taught in certain churches, written in "Christian" books and pumped through Christian TV nowadays. Some of these teachings tickle the ears therefore, people are buying into it even though they are really "out there" in Never Never Land...Some of these teachings sound good and have an 'element' of truth but deviate so far off the centrality of the cross that it's unbelievable. What is scary is I recently learned that only 19% of Americans (Millenials) polled believe the Bible is true. Even our president thinks it's outdated and antiquated. Therefore, we have no basis to judge sound teachings without the inerrant Word of God. Help us Jesus. Give us a revival of the Bible!

"As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that you may command certain people not to teach false doctrines any longer or to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. Such things promote controversial speculations rather than advancing God’s work—which is by faith. The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. Some have departed from these and have turned to meaningless talk. They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm." 1 Timothy 1: 1-6
