ARE YOU A TINKER OR A BUILDER?

ARE YOU A TINKER OR A BUILDER? By Mary Ann Wray My husband and I along with several others are part of an Apostolic Team called out to build God’s Kingdom through a local church ministry in our city from the ground level up. We had no plans to be involved in such a work. In fact, we were pretty burned out on church after being part of at least 9 different churches in the past 37 years. Due to moving or God moving us, we found ourselves in various types of local churches: Non-denominational circles, Assembly of God Circles and Four Square Circles. We saw many wonderful things, learned many great teachings and principles, but we also saw abuse, misuse and mishandling of scriptures that created a mechanical form of church life or philosophies of ministry that led to missing the fulness of Body Life and/ and the fulness of the power of the Holy Spirit. Now that we have been a part of this ministry for almost nine months it is clear that not only is there a challenge for spiritua...

IT TAKES A POSITIVE AND A NEGATIVE TO CREATE POWER!

It takes a positive and a negative to create power!!! By Mary Ann Wray My Dad had a 1965 Convertible Ford Galaxy 500 and kept it for many years. We loved that family car and took many a joy ride with the top down on warm sunny days! My dad was a frugal man and would never replace anything unless it was absolutely necessary. When he did have to replace something he always looked for a bargain. A s his beloved Galaxy gained years and mileage the battery weakened .   He always carried around a set of jumper cables in the floorboard of the back seat in case it wouldn’t start, which happened a lot of times! I remember being stalled at a gas station or hardware store when I would run errands with dad and the car wouldn’t start. He’d calmly go inside or approach someone out in the parking lot and ask for a jump start. He showed me how it worked...The car or truck providing the jump would pull up in front of our car, and both vehicles would have the hoods opened. ...

BIBLICAL LEADERSHIP

PRINCIPLES OF LEADERSHIP This is a bit lengthy but good teaching on leadership. Hope you enjoy! LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT  By Mary Ann Wray What is the Biblical Model for Leadership Development? NATURAL EXAMPLE/ ANALOGY: MILITARY ORGANIC MANUFACTURING Bob and I work for DoD and our job is to order fulfill / QA spare parts for soundness and safety. Some of the weapons systems used by the military are very old and antiquated but usable and repairable. Rather than build a whole new weapons system, the cost is less for the military to repair the weapon system and keep them running. Therefore, they will attempt to buy spare parts by getting new unused surplus or bids to make a new replacement part(s) for the non-mission capable weapon system. However, in many cases, the OEM for a particular Weapon System won’t manufacture the replacement part(s) because it is too expensive for them to do so with all of the overhead and startup costs as well as trying to get the material which m...

THE NATURE OF MINISTRY GIFTS AND THEIR FUNCTION

Image
While on a walk today the Lord dropped some things in my spirit that I felt led to write about. There is a lot of misunderstanding and some confusion in certain circles of Christianity about "Ministry", "Titles" and "Priviledges" versus functioning in servant hood to the Father. I certainly have learned a lot more about this topic since coming to the Rock Columbus under the teaching of Pastor Dave and Prophet Kevin Leal. I hope you enjoy this teaching/ article and please feel free to share if you like.
