WHAT THE BIBLE HAS TO SAY ABOUT SEXUAL IMMORALITY...
The best sermon is taken straight out of God’s Word, that
speaks for itself, comparing scripture with scripture rather than taking one or
two verses out of context and building an entire doctrine out of it. No matter what modern day priests and
prophets may say or practice themselves without saying anything, about sex
outside of marriage, sex and marriage between same sexes, masturbation,
pedophilia, incest, bestiality and the like, God has not changed His mind. He
takes sexual immorality very seriously. It is a sin against His temple (your
body) that He created to live in…that would be YOU and ME. There are grave
penalties this side of eternity for sexually immoral practices and greater
penalties in eternity. REPENT and change your mind/ heart while there is time.
You can be renewed before it’s too late!
By the way, the picture is a rendition of Jezebel, the Queen
of Whoredom and the apostate church....It is a wicked spirit/ principality that is very busy deceiving the world and the people of God in our culture!
"Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate
that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching she misleads
my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to
idols." Revelations 2: 20
“I have heard what the prophets say who prophesy lies in my
name. They say, ‘I had a dream! I had a dream!’ How long will this continue in
the hearts of these lying prophets, who prophesy the delusions of their own
minds? They think the dreams they tell one another will make my people forget
my name, just as their ancestors forgot my name through Baal worship. Let the
prophet who has a dream recount the dream, but let the one who has my word
speak it faithfully. For what has straw to do with grain?” declares the Lord.
“Is not my word like fire,” declares the Lord, “and like a hammer that breaks a
rock in pieces? “Therefore,” declares the Lord, “I am against the prophets who
steal from one another words supposedly from me. Yes,” declares the Lord, “I am
against the prophets who wag their own tongues and yet declare, ‘The Lord
declares.’ Indeed, I am against those who prophesy false dreams,” declares the
Lord. “They tell them and lead my people astray with their reckless lies, yet I
did not send or appoint them. They do not benefit these people in the least,”
declares the Lord.” Jeremiah 23: 25-32
1 Timothy 1:9-11 We also know that the law is made not for
the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the
unholy and irreligious, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers,
for the sexually immoral, for those practicing ...homosexuality, for slave
traders and liars and perjurers--and for whatever else is contrary to the sound
doctrine that conforms to the gospel concerning the glory of the blessed God,
which he entrusted to me.”
Revelation 21: 7-8 Those who are victorious will inherit all
this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. But the cowardly,
the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who
practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the
fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
Revelation 22:13-16 “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is
with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. I am
the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
“Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the
tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. Outside are the dogs,
those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the
idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. “I, Jesus, have sent
my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the
Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”
1 Corinthians 5:9-13 I wrote to you in my letter not to
associate with sexually immoral people— not at all meaning the people of this
world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case
you would have to leave this world. But now I am writing to you that you must
not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually
immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not
even eat with such people. What business is it of mine to judge those outside
the church? Are you not to judge those inside? God will judge those outside.
“Expel the wicked person from among you.”
Hebrews 12: 14-17 Make every effort to live in peace with
everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. See to it
that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to
cause trouble and defile many. See that no one is sexually immoral, or is
godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the
oldest son. Afterward, as you know, when he wanted to inherit this blessing, he
was rejected. Even though he sought the blessing with tears, he could not
change what he had done.”
1 Corinthians 6:9-11 “Or do you not know that wrongdoers
will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually
immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves
nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the
kingdom of God. And that is what some of
you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the
name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.”
Hebrews 13:4-5 “Marriage should be honored by all, and the
marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually
immoral. Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what
you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake
you.” Marriage should be honored by all,
and the marriage.”
1 Corinthians 6:18-20 “Flee from sexual immorality. All
other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually,
sins against their own body. Do you not know that your bodies are temples of
the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not
your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”
Ephesians 5:5-7 “But among you there must not be even a hint
of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these
are improper for God’s holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk
or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. For of this
you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an
idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one
deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on
those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them.”
1 Thessalonians 4:3-8 “It is God’s will that you should be
sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should
learn to control your own bodya in a way that is holy and honorable, not in
passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God; and that in this matter
no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister. The Lord will
punish all those who commit such sins, as we told you and warned you before.
For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. Therefore,
anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the
very God who gives you his Holy Spirit.”
Hoseas 2: 2-8 “Rebuke
your mother, rebuke her, for she is not my wife, and I am not her husband. Let
her remove the adulterous look from her face and the unfaithfulness from
between her breasts. Otherwise I will strip her naked and make her as bare as
on the day she was born; I will make her like a desert, turn her into a parched
land, and slay her with thirst. I will not show my love to her children,
because they are the children of adultery. Their mother has been unfaithful and
has conceived them in disgrace. She said, ‘I will go after my lovers, who give
me my food and my water, my wool and my linen, my olive oil and my drink.’
Therefore I will block her path with thorn bushes; I will wall her in so that
she cannot find her way. She will chase after her lovers but not catch them;
she will look for them but not find them. Then she will say, ‘I will go back to
my husband as at first, for then I was
better off than now.’ he has not
acknowledged that I was the one who gave her the grain, the new wine and oil,
who lavished on her the silver and gold—which they used for Baal.
