PROPHETIC INTERCESSION
PROPHETIC INTERCESSION
Mary Ann Wray
Prophetic intercession is different than supplications or asking. It is more than just "seeing" or "knowing"; it is "seeing" through the eyes of the Spirit and the eyes of the "Father"...Prophetic prayer is what produces groanings too deep to be uttered because they are birthed out of the Spirit of God: not flesh. You can't manufacture prophetic intercession out of your emotions, will or mind.Romans 8: 26
It's not even something you can "teach". You can teach "about" it but it has to be experienced to be understood. It can be 'modeled' and the Spirit of Intercession can even be "caught" by being in its atmosphere but it is not birthed out of human will.
Prophetic intercession/ intercessors often find themselves in a lonely and isolated place because they "see" what others can't or don't see: such seeing is only revealed by the Spirit and the Father. Even if you "tell" them what you "see" they still can't see it unless the Spirit shows them. That is why God's spiritual watchman see eye to eye (Isaiah 52: 8). They hear from the same Spirit and therefore, groan with the same utterances. Even when alone, the Father, Son and Spirit are agreeing with you. That's what Gethsemane was all about....while others slept Jesus groaned. True prophetic prayer is mostly done in secret; not public. Otherwise, it easily becomes a 'show'. How many people does it take to witness and/ or participate in the birth of a baby? Who and how many really should?
